Wai-yee Schmidt

Hi there!!

I am a mother of 2 school-age boys living in the cosmopolitan city of Frankfurt, Germany.  I am not famous, I am not a preacher or pastor, I didn’t even go to bible college. In fact, I was a business attorney some years back before I had kids.  I spend most of my days managing a busy home life .. nothing out of the ordinary in the life of a homemaker.  I am, however, a very determined follower of Jesus Christ, and I am CALLED to be a fisherman .. a FISHER OF MEN as Jesus calls it in Matthew 4:19.

THREE words ... it is awesome!  It’s awesome to rake in souls into the kingdom, instead of only raking in money.  I go about my everyday business and the extraordinary happens in my ordinary.  Somehow .. the Holy Spirit always sets me up when I least expect it.  When there is an open window, I simply can’t resist sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with the Iranian or Pakistani cab driver, or a masseuse at the spa, or laying hands on the sick to be healed, either on the streets of Frankfurt or in the hospital while visiting, or giving strangers a prophetic word so that their lives may never be the same again.

At the time of writing in the fall of 2016, I started experiencing an acceleration of harvest in ways that I previously only dreamt of.  Over a period of 20 plus months starting from March 2015, I have seen almost 50 souls coming to Christ.  In this month of November 2016, I saw 7 persons coming to Christ in the last 3 weeks.

What I am most excited about is, that I am starting to see signs and wonders manifesting, even though I am only taking baby steps into the realm of the supernatural.  It’s like we are stepping into a season of the EXTRAORDINARY .. Don’t forget .. I am writing from, old world Europe, infamously known as spiritual hard ground.

Therefore, I have been feeling a mounting urgency to launch this website, even though honestly, it’s taken me a long time to get into gear, to chronicle the highs and lows, the adventures of a no-name, everyday evangelist.  Truth be told, I am not comfortable publicizing myself.  I don’t even Facebook much, let alone start a blog or website .. until I realized that it is not about me but HIM, to make HIM famous, to roll out His Kingdom from heaven to earth.

I will be sharing my testimonies on this website, and hopefully, I can jump start some of you out there who are similarly CALLED to become the next Everyday Evangelist.

You will be surprised how God is WILLING to use the WILLING.

Isaiah 43:19

Behold, I will do a new thing,
Now it shall spring forth;
Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert ..
..I give waters in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert,
To give drink to My people, My chosen.
This people I have formed for Myself;
They shall declare My praise

My Personal Journey

Garbage to Gem
Junk to Jewel
Nobody to Nobility
Rubbish to Royalty
Trash to Treasure

These buzz words pretty much sum up my journey .. all because the GREAT TRANSFORMER Jesus Christ took over my life.

Growing up in a 3rd World Nation

I was the ultimate Ghetto Girl. I grew up in Singapore in the days when Singapore was officially categorized as a Third World Country by the United Nations.  A family of four plus a grandparent sharing a space of about 15 square meters, a.k.a. the ‘One Room’ Apartment, the cheapest form of Government-aided rental housing in Singapore available 40 years ago.

Growing up, my father was chronically unemployed and juggling various addictions, from alcohol to gambling to women.  My poor mom was, of course, going into pieces every day,  while trying her best to hold it altogether and working three jobs and tapping us as child labor.

Life has never been the same since then.  I still had many ups and downs which I would be more than eager to share in a book one day, but all I can say, God is faithful even when I have been unfaithful many many many many many times.

The past few years I have been experiencing harvest upon harvest, breakthrough upon breakthrough.  I want you to have that too.

If He picked a piece of junk like me and turned it into His Jewel for His glory, He will do the same for you too!

Let’s lock arms and enjoy the ride together!

Isaiah 62:3-4

You shall also be a crown of glory
In the hand of the Lord
And a royal diadem
In the hand of your God.
You shall no longer be termed Forsaken,
Nor shall your land be termed Desolate …
